Premalatha Claims EPS Failed to Deliver on Rajya Sabha Seat Promise to DMDK

In a recent statement, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami denied having entered into any agreement with the DMDK (Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam) regarding a Rajya Sabha seat in the upcoming 2024 Parliamentary elections. Additionally, he clarified that he had not made any assurances to DMDK leader Ms. Premalatha regarding seat allocations during their discussions for the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for the same year.

This clarification comes amid growing speculation about potential alliances and seat-sharing arrangements among political parties in Tamil Nadu as the elections approach. The DMDK, a significant regional party, has been a key player in Tamil Nadu politics, and any potential deal with them could influence the electoral dynamics in the state. As the political landscape evolves, various parties are strategizing on collaborations to maximize their electoral prospects.
