SC Scholars Raise Concerns Over Delays in National Fellowship Grant Disbursement Following OBC Scholars Issues

The All India Research Scholars Association (AIRSA) has formally reached out to the Secretary of Social Justice, urging for the prompt disbursal of fellowship grants allotted to research scholars across the country.

In their communication, the association highlighted the significant delays in the release of these funds, which are crucial for supporting the academic pursuits and living expenses of numerous scholars engaged in research activities. The fellowship grants are intended to provide essential financial assistance and enable scholars to focus on their research without undue financial stress.

The AIRSA emphasized that timely access to these funds is vital for maintaining the momentum of research initiatives and ensuring that scholars can meet their academic goals. They also expressed concerns over the potential negative impact of funding delays on the overall quality and progress of research work in various fields.

As a supporting measure, the AIRSA has called on the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to prioritize this issue and implement a more efficient disbursal process. This request comes at a time when many scholars are nearing critical phases of their research and may face interruptions if financial resources are not made available promptly.

The associations appeal underscores the broader need for stable and consistent funding mechanisms to support the future of research in India, ultimately contributing to the country’s academic and scientific advancements.
