Severe Weather Affects Flight Services in Delhi-NCR Due to Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms

Severe weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, affected several areas of Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) on March 18. The inclement weather resulted in significant disruptions, particularly in flight operations at local airports.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued alerts for adverse weather, predicting thunderstorms along with heavy rainfall across the region. Many flights experienced delays and cancellations, impacting travelers and airport operations. The rain also resulted in waterlogging in various parts of the city, further complicating the situation for commuters.

Local authorities are monitoring the conditions and have advised residents to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during the storms. Emergency services are on standby to assist in any incidents that may arise due to the weather. The IMD continues to provide updates on the forecast as rainfall is expected to continue in the following days.
