YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Criticizes NDA Government for Lack of Womens Protection and Accountability in Governance.
Former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has advocated for the MAVIGUN corridor, a proposed 110-kilometer route that he claims serves as a cost-effective and pragmatic alternative to the Amaravati capital plan. According to Naidu, the estimated cost for developing the MAVIGUN corridor is significantly lower, projected at approximately one-tenth of the ₹2 lakh crore (about $24 billion) estimated for the full capital city development in Amaravati.
The MAVIGUN corridor aims to enhance connectivity and economic development in the region by integrating transportation networks and improving access to essential services. Naidus proposal has led to discussions among various stakeholders, including urban planners and economic analysts, regarding the feasibility and potential impacts of such infrastructure initiatives on the states growth.
Amaravati, which was previously established as the states capital following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, has faced various challenges and delays in its development. The search for alternative solutions like the MAVIGUN corridor reflects ongoing debates about the best strategies for promoting sustainable urban growth and addressing the needs of the population in Andhra Pradesh.
