12.38 Lakh Tonnes of Paddy Procured from 1.54 Lakh Farmers, ₹1,129 Crore Disbursed

Commissioner of Civil Supplies M. Stephen Ravindra announced that the department is currently functioning at full capacity throughout the state to effectively manage the increased influx of paddy supplies. This initiative is part of the governments efforts to ensure adequate processing and storage of agricultural produce.

The Civil Supplies Department has implemented measures to streamline operations and facilitate the smooth handling of paddy, which is crucial for maintaining food security and supporting local farmers. The rising volume of paddy is attributed to the favorable harvest season, and the department is closely monitoring the situation to optimize distribution channels and address any logistical challenges.

In addition, the state government has been actively promoting policies to improve agricultural productivity and support paddy farmers, including financial assistance and training programs, aimed at enhancing their yield and sustainability practices. The ongoing efforts reflect the governments commitment to strengthening the agriculture sector and securing the livelihoods of farmers across the state.
