27 Individuals from Ebola-Affected Countries Placed Under Home Quarantine in Kerala

In response to health concerns regarding Ebola outbreaks in certain regions, the Kerala state government has implemented a mandatory 21-day quarantine for all passengers arriving from countries currently affected by the virus. This policy specifically targets individuals traveling from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan.

The measure aims to mitigate the potential spread of the Ebola virus, which is highly contagious and has previously resulted in serious public health crises in various nations. Officials are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with health departments to ensure that travelers are aware of the protocol before arriving.

In addition to the quarantine, health screenings and assessments will be conducted upon entry to identify any symptoms associated with Ebola. The government is committed to public safety and is working in collaboration with international health organizations to stay updated on the situation in affected regions. Travelers are advised to stay informed on health guidelines and to adhere strictly to all safety measures put in place during their quarantine period.
