7.34 Lakh Farmers Yet to Enroll for PM-KISAN Scheme in Andhra Pradesh

As of now, approximately 734,000 farmers in Andhra Pradesh have yet to register for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. This initiative, launched by the Indian government, aims to provide direct financial support to farmers to assist them in meeting agricultural expenses.

The PM-KISAN program offers eligible landholding farmers ₹6,000 annually, disbursed in three installments. The scheme has been crucial in alleviating some financial stress, particularly in light of challenges posed by unpredictable weather and fluctuating market prices.

State officials have expressed concern over the unregistered farmers and are intensifying outreach efforts to encourage enrollment. They are organizing awareness campaigns and providing assistance to help farmers with the application process.

The PM-KISAN scheme was implemented in February 2019 and has since benefited millions across India, contributing to rural economic stability. It is vital for farmers to take advantage of this program, as it can significantly aid in their financial planning and agricultural sustainability.

Farmers who are still not enrolled are urged to visit local agricultural offices or the official PM-KISAN website for guidance on the registration process and eligibility criteria.
