Polavaram Diaphragm Wall Reconstruction Completed, According to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu

The project has incurred an additional cost of ₹1,000 crore for reconstruction due to damage sustained during the previous administration. According to officials, efforts will now accelerate on the primary structure, which is the Earth-Cum-Rock Fill dam.

This dam, crucial for water resource management and irrigation, faced substantial operational delays, attributing to both structural concerns and budgetary constraints. The reconstruction aims not only to remediate the damage but also to enhance the dams overall resilience and efficiency. Moving forward, stakeholders are optimistic that this renewed focus will lead to timely completion and improved benefits for the surrounding communities reliant on its resources.
