22 Ships Bound for India Included on Hormuz Evacuation List

Recently, an assessment identified 20 vessels as critical to Indias energy security. These vessels are transporting significant quantities of liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and crude oil. Specifically, they are carrying over 500,000 tonnes of LNG and LPG and approximately 1.676 million tonnes of crude oil.

In response to this situation, various governmental and maritime agencies are collaborating to facilitate the safe evacuation of these vessels. The coordination involves efforts aimed at ensuring continuous energy supply during this critical period, highlighting the importance of these shipments for Indias energy infrastructure.

This evacuation initiative is crucial as India relies heavily on imports to meet its energy demands, accounting for a significant portion of its total consumption. The successful transport of these resources will contribute to stabilizing energy supplies and mitigating any potential disruptions in the market.
