22 Ships Bound for India Listed for Evacuation in Hormuz Region

In a recent operational assessment, 20 vessels have been identified as crucial to Indias energy security, transporting more than 500,000 metric tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as well as approximately 1.676 million metric tonnes of crude oil.

Multiple agencies are collaborating to facilitate the evacuation of these vessels. This coordinated effort highlights the strategic importance of ensuring a continuous supply of energy resources, particularly in the context of Indias increasing energy demands. The cooperation among various stakeholders reflects an ongoing commitment to maintaining stability in the countrys energy sector, particularly in light of global supply chain challenges.

The involvement of agencies such as the Indian Coast Guard, Shipping Ministry, and port authorities illustrates the governments focus on enhancing logistical efficiency and risk management during this critical operation.
