PM Says BJPs Bengal Parivartan Yatra Has Caused Concern for Trinamool in Cooch Behar

During a rally in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the Bharatiya Janata Partys (BJP) ongoing Parivartan Yatra has instilled fear in the Trinamool Congress (TMC) ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. The Yatra, which translates to “Journey of Change,” is aimed at mobilizing support for the BJP and focusing on issues faced by the residents of West Bengal.

The BJP has been actively campaigning in the state, emphasizing development and governance as key themes. Modi highlighted the struggles of the local populace under TMC rule, asserting that his party aims to bring about significant change if elected. The upcoming elections are critical for both parties, as West Bengal has seen a strong contest between the ruling TMC and the opposition BJP in recent years.

The 2026 Assembly elections are set to take place in April, and both parties are likely to ramp up their campaigning strategies in the coming months as they seek to secure voter support.
