Kerala Implements AI Surveillance for Election Monitoring, Providing Real-Time Alerts on Queue and Crowd Levels at Polling Stations

In preparation for the upcoming elections scheduled for April 9, comprehensive measures have been implemented at all polling stations, including the arrangement of live webcasting. Each polling station will be equipped with two cameras—one positioned inside the station to capture the voting process and another outside to monitor activities and ensure transparency.

This initiative aims to enhance the electoral process by promoting transparency and accountability, allowing for real-time monitoring of the polling activities. The decision to incorporate live webcasting reflects a commitment to ensure the integrity of the elections, providing stakeholders and the public with access to the proceedings.

Election officials have also outlined additional measures to ensure a smooth voting experience, including training for poll workers on the use of the new technology and protocols for voter assistance. As the election date approaches, authorities encourage all eligible voters to participate and exercise their right to vote, underscoring the importance of civic engagement in the democratic process.
