T.N. Election: AIADMK Proposes Crop Loan Waiver Amid Feasibility Concerns

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has launched a new scheme aimed at supporting farmers and marginalized groups by covering crop loans. This initiative specifically targets loans acquired by farmers through Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies (PACCS). Additionally, the scheme extends its benefits to individuals with disabilities and pavement vendors who secure loans from cooperative banks.

This move is part of a broader effort to provide financial assistance to those in the agricultural sector and other vulnerable communities impacting their economic stability. The AIADMKs scheme is expected to alleviate the financial burden on these groups, facilitating better access to credit and enabling them to sustain their livelihoods. This initiative comes at a time when the agricultural sector is facing various challenges, including changing climate conditions and fluctuating market prices, which have historically strained farmers finances.
