First Group of 175,025 Pilgrims Set to Begin Hajj Pilgrimage
The Additional Secretary for Gulf Affairs at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that a total of 175,025 pilgrims will be undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
This significant figure reflects the ongoing efforts to facilitate the annual pilgrimage, which is an important religious duty for Muslims worldwide. The MEA has implemented various measures to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims, including provisions for travel, accommodation, and health services.
Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, is expected to take place in the Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah, with millions of Muslims from around the globe gathering in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, for the rituals. The Saudi government has also been enhancing its infrastructure and services to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims in recent years, ensuring a smoother experience for participants.
