BMC Initiates SIR Process in Mumbai, Requesting Collaboration from Political Parties

Voter mapping is currently in progress in Mumbai city and its suburban districts as part of the pre-revision phase for the upcoming elections. This initiative involves matching the details of voters listed in the electoral rolls from 2002 with the new rolls for 2024. The process is being facilitated through the Booth Level Officers (BLO) application, which allows for a more streamlined and efficient verification of voter data.

This voter mapping exercise aims to ensure that the electoral rolls are accurate and reflect the current demographic composition of the area, reducing discrepancies and enhancing the integrity of the electoral process.
