West Bengal Repoll: Approximately 37% Voter Turnout Recorded by 11 a.m. in 15 Booths Across 2 Assembly Seats

Repolling has been ordered in a total of 15 polling stations across the Magrahat Paschim Assembly constituency and the Diamond Harbour constituency. This decision follows reports of irregularities that were identified during the initial voting process.

Specifically, 11 polling stations in Magrahat Paschim and four in Diamond Harbour will see the revote, aimed at ensuring the integrity of the electoral process. The Election Commission of India typically mandates such measures to uphold fair democratic practices and address any discrepancies that may have occurred during the initial election.

This revote will provide an opportunity for eligible voters in these areas to cast their ballots again, helping to ensure that the final election results reflect the true will of the electorate. The dates for the repolls are expected to be announced shortly.
