Suvendu Adhikari Achieves Victory Over Mamata Banerjee in Bhabanipur and Nandigram

In the most recent tally released by the Election Commission of India (ECI), Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken the lead in the Bhabanipur constituency by over 5,000 votes. Meanwhile, in Nandigram, Suvendu Adhikari is ahead by more than 3,000 votes.

This election is particularly significant as it involves key political figures in West Bengals political landscape. Banerjee, representing the Trinamool Congress (TMC), is seeking to secure her seat in Bhabanipur, a stronghold of her party. Adhikari, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), won the Nandigram seat in the last election against Banerjee in 2021.

The counting of votes is ongoing, and both candidates’ parties remain vigilant as each round of results is announced. The final outcomes will determine the political dynamics in the state, especially given the upcoming assembly sessions and potential implications for governance.
