Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Travels to Delhi to Request Approval for Hyderabad Metro Phase II

The estimated total cost for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II project is ₹38,595 crore. This expansion aims to enhance the citys public transportation infrastructure, building upon the success of the existing metro network.

Phase II of the Hyderabad Metro Rail is projected to extend approximately 81 kilometers and will include multiple new corridors, significantly increasing connectivity across the city. The project is expected to integrate seamlessly with Phase I and will improve access to key commercial and residential areas, as well as to major transportation hubs.

Funding for this ambitious project is anticipated to come from a combination of state government budgets, central government support, and international financial institutions. The completion of Phase II is projected to ease traffic congestion in Hyderabad and promote sustainable transportation solutions for its growing population, which is currently estimated to be over 10 million residents.
