UDF Finalizes Kerala Cabinet List, IUML Assigned Five Ministerial Positions
Senior Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has been appointed as the Speaker of the Kerala Assembly. Radhakrishnan, a prominent figure in the Congress party, has previously held various positions within the state government, including that of the Home Minister. His election as Speaker is expected to influence legislative proceedings in the assembly.
In addition to this development, the newly formed 21-member Cabinet, led by Chief Minister-designate Dominic Satheesan, is scheduled to take the oath of office on May 18. This Cabinet formation follows the recent assembly elections in Kerala, where the Congress party, part of the United Democratic Front (UDF), secured a significant number of seats. The new government is anticipated to focus on several pressing issues, including economic recovery post-pandemic, increased employment opportunities, and enhanced healthcare services in the state.
This cabinet will mark an important tenure for the Congress party in Kerala, as they seek to address the aspirations of their constituents and navigate the complexities of state governance.
