EESL Commends Andhra Pradesh for Implementation of Clean Cooking Solutions
The Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has established a partnership with the Women Development and Child Welfare Department, resulting in the provision of induction-based cooking devices to over 55,000 anganwadi centres across the country. This initiative aims to enhance the cooking practices in these centres, which play a crucial role in providing nutritious meals to mothers and children.
EESLs CEO noted that the distribution of these devices was completed prior to the onset of the recent conflicts in West Asia that have disrupted global fuel supply chains. By implementing induction cooking technology, the program not only promotes energy efficiency but also supports the health and nutrition of vulnerable populations.
Anganwadi centres are vital components of Indias integrated child development services, catering to the nutritional and educational needs of young children and their mothers. This initiative marks a significant step towards improving the infrastructure and services provided in these community centres, aligning with broader goals of sustainable development and energy conservation.
