National Council of CBSE Schools Clarifies SMC Guidelines Do Not Apply to Unaided Schools

The National Council of CBSE Schools has reported that the Union Ministry of Education has clarified that recently issued guidelines regarding school governance do not apply to unaided schools that do not receive government funding. Despite this exemption, the Ministry has encouraged all schools to establish School Management Committees (SMCs) as a means to enhance transparency and accountability within educational institutions.
