Andhra Pradesh Faces Challenging Heat Conditions as 95 Mandals Exceed 42°C

Kanumolu, located in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, recorded a temperature of 45.8°C, indicating exceptionally high heat levels for the region. The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has issued a warning that severe heatwave conditions are likely to persist in 21 mandals, while moderate heatwave conditions may impact an additional 214 mandals across the state on Sunday.

Authorities advise residents to take necessary precautions against the heat, including staying hydrated, avoiding outdoor activities during peak hours, and utilizing cooling methods at home. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary. This weather pattern aligns with seasonal trends but has raised concerns regarding health impacts, particularly for vulnerable populations such as the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions.
