CBSE Acknowledges Incorrect Physics Answer Sheet Upload for Class 12 Student Following Viral Posts; Family Urges Careful Implementation of OSM

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has acknowledged that an incorrect Physics answer sheet was uploaded for a Class XII student’s roll number following a series of viral social media posts by Vedant, a student who raised concerns about the boards new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. In response to these allegations, CBSE has provided the correct answer sheet and indicated that updates regarding examination results are currently in progress.

Vedants family reported experiencing online harassment after bringing this issue to light, highlighting the repercussions of discussing educational discrepancies publicly. They have called on CBSE to implement the OSM system in a phased manner, emphasizing the need for comprehensive testing of the new evaluation method. Additionally, they urged the board to address any discrepancies in evaluations and respond to students’ grievances more effectively.

The OSM system, which was introduced to modernize the evaluation process, has faced scrutiny since its launch. The CBSE has stated their commitment to improving the system based on feedback but has not disclosed specific timelines for adjustments or reviews of the implementation process. The board encourages students and parents to continue providing feedback to help enhance the integrity of the evaluation system.
