T-Fiber Initiative Aims to Deliver High-Speed Internet to All Villages in Telangana

The Chief Minister recently met with Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to discuss the Amended BharatNet Programme. This initiative, aimed at enhancing digital connectivity across rural and remote areas of India, has seen updates to its original framework to better address the current technological landscape and the needs of underserved communities.

During the discussions, they focused on the implementation strategies and timelines for the program, which aims to provide high-speed broadband to numerous villages across the country, thereby bolstering digital inclusion and access to online services. The meeting also touched on potential collaborations between state and central governments to ensure the successful rollout of this initiative.

The BharatNet Programme, which was launched in 2011, intends to create a robust network infrastructure that supports educational, healthcare, and economic opportunities in rural regions. The amended version of the program is expected to incorporate new technologies and methods to expedite the deployment process, ensuring that the benefits of digital connectivity reach the maximum number of people effectively.

Stakeholders are optimistic that these discussions will lead to a productive partnership that benefits the communities most in need of improved internet services.
