Higher Education Institutions Required to Register on AISHE Portal

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has announced that institutions possessing an All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) code are not required to undergo a new registration process.

This decision was communicated by the Vice-Chairperson of APSCHE, who emphasized the importance of the AISHE code for maintaining a comprehensive database of higher education institutions across India. The AISHE database plays a crucial role in tracking educational statistics and facilitating policy-making in the sector.

The APSCHEs announcement aims to streamline administrative processes for institutions and reduce redundancy, allowing educational entities to focus on enhancing educational quality and access. Institutions are encouraged to ensure their AISHE code is current and to utilize the existing framework to report relevant data.

Additionally, the AISHE initiative, launched by the Ministry of Education, serves as a vital tool for monitoring and analyzing trends in higher education, influencing funding and regulatory decisions at both state and national levels. Institutions should regularly update their information to contribute to a more accurate representation of the educational landscape.
