J&K Health Minister Responds to Mehboobas AIIMS Visit, Suggests Political Amnesia
Jammu and Kashmir Health Minister Sakeena Itoo expressed concerns regarding the involvement of former officials in the review of the AIIMS Awantipora project, suggesting that it may reflect a disconnect with the current political situation. Minister Itoo remarked, “Some individuals appear to be experiencing political amnesia, which raises questions about the role of former rulers in this critical health infrastructure project.”
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Awantipora, inaugurated in 2020, aims to enhance healthcare delivery in the region. The facility is part of the governments broader initiative to bolster medical infrastructure across India. This remark comes amidst ongoing discussions about the effectiveness and accountability of various leadership in managing healthcare facilities in Jammu and Kashmir. The AIIMS project has been a focal point of investment and development, reflecting the regional administrations commitment to improving health services for residents.
