India Disburses Fifth Tranche of Rs 250 Crore to Bhutan, Total Assistance Reaches Rs 1,250 Crore

India has disbursed the fifth tranche of ₹250 crore under its economic stimulus program for Bhutan, bringing the total assistance provided to ₹1,250 crore. This ongoing initiative, which began in 2021, aims to support Bhutans economic recovery, particularly in the aftermath of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The assistance is intended for infrastructure development, capacity building, and other projects that can aid Bhutan in achieving sustainable growth. The Indian government has expressed its commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Bhutan, emphasizing economic collaboration as a cornerstone of the relationship.
