Global Childhood Vaccination Coverage Improves Despite Ongoing Challenges, Report Says

Recent reports from UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO) highlight a notable increase in global childhood vaccination coverage. However, despite this progress, significant challenges remain, including ongoing conflicts and vaccine hesitancy that hinder comprehensive immunization efforts.

The report indicates that while childhood immunization rates are gradually improving, more than 13.5 million children did not receive a single dose of essential vaccines in their first year of life in 2025.
