The combination of El Niño effects alongside local conditions has caused increased concerns regarding Indias agricultural imports for the remainder of the year, as the country may need to rely more on foreign sources to meet its food demands.

In light of these challenges, voluntary organizations in cities like Chennai are working to raise awareness about the impacts of El Niño and promote adaptive strategies among farmers and communities. These initiatives aim to enhance resilience to changing weather patterns and ensure sustainable agricultural practices moving forward.
