Notices Issued to Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff Regarding Vimal Elaichi Advertisement

Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff Issued Show-Cause Notices by FDA Over Vimal Elaichi Advertising Campaign

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued show-cause notices to prominent Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff regarding their involvement in promoting Vimal Elaichi, a brand of chewing cardamom. The notices were issued by Tukaram Mundhe, a senior official at the FDA, and demand that the actors provide explanations within 15 days concerning their advertising practices for the product.

The regulatory body raised concerns over the claims made in the advertisements, which may be misleading to consumers. The FDA emphasized that advertising must not only comply with legal standards but also promote ethical marketing practices, especially concerning health-related products.

Vimal Elaichi is a well-known brand that markets itself as a refreshing and beneficial post-meal product. However, the involvement of prominent personalities in endorsing such products has come under scrutiny, particularly in light of public health concerns regarding the promotional messaging used.

In recent years, there has been an increased focus on the responsibility of celebrities in promoting products, especially those related to food and health. The FDA’s action reflects a broader initiative to ensure that advertisements do not make unverified health claims that could mislead consumers.

As additional details emerge, it remains to be seen how the actors will respond to the FDAs notices and whether further regulatory measures will follow.
