UP Board directs schools to generate APAAR IDs for students in Classes 9 to 12 and connect academic records.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has issued a directive to schools across the state to assist in the creation of APAAR IDs for students in Classes 9 to 12. This 12-digit digital identity number is designed to streamline the management of academic records, including marksheets and transfer certificates, through a digital format.

Schools are encouraged to incorporate the APAAR IDs into their registration and examination processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of record-keeping. While the UPMSP is promoting this initiative, it has clarified that the use of APAAR IDs is not mandatory for the current registration cycle.

This move is part of a broader effort to modernize educational administration and improve access to academic records for students and educational institutions. The APAAR ID system is expected to facilitate smoother transitions for students moving between schools and will potentially reduce the incidence of lost or misplaced documents.
