Tasmac Shops to Receive Monthly Maintenance Allowance Starting October 1
Starting October 1, Tasmac (Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation) shops will receive a monthly maintenance allowance of up to Rs 5,000. This decision is part of the Tamil Nadu state governments efforts to improve the maintenance and operational efficiency of these retail outlets, which are the primary distributors of alcoholic beverages in the state.
The financial support is aimed at ensuring better upkeep of the shops, potentially enhancing the shopping experience for customers. In addition to the maintenance allowance, Tasmac shops can expect further improvements in inventory management and customer service.
Tasmac operates over 6,000 outlets across Tamil Nadu, making it a significant player in the state’s economy. This initiative is expected to provide much-needed assistance to shop operators who have faced various challenges in maintaining the standards and services of their establishments amidst fluctuating market conditions.
The governments decision reflects a broader commitment to support local businesses and boost the states revenue from alcohol sales, which is a major source of income for public welfare programs in Tamil Nadu.
