Shia Community in MP Observes Mourning Instead of Eid Celebrations Following Khameneis Death During the Iran-Iraq War
Approximately 4,000 Shia families reside in Madhya Pradesh. In light of the recent death of Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the All India Shia Samaj State President has announced that they will refrain from wearing new clothes and celebrating Eid this year. Instead, the community plans to focus on offering prayers (namaz) in remembrance.
