Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Intensifying Political Campaign in Palakkad as BJP Targets UDF MLA Controversy

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has selected Sobha Surendran as its candidate, who previously contributed to the party achieving its highest position in the constituency in 2016. The BJP aims to secure the seat from the United Democratic Front (UDF). The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has consistently placed third in this constituency over the last three elections. As of now, neither the UDF nor the LDF has announced their candidates for this electoral segment.
