Congress Releases Initial Candidate List for Kerala Assembly Elections 2026; Decision Pending on MPs Seeking to Run

K.C. Venugopal stated that the party will make a decision regarding the requests from MPs to contest in upcoming elections at a later time. Currently, the party has not yet announced candidates for the Kannur and Konni constituencies, where MPs K. Sudhakaran and Adoor Prakash have expressed interest. The initial candidate list includes 20 sitting MLAs.
