AKSTU Organizes Secretariat March
A group of stakeholders has put forth several demands to the government, including the withdrawal of the States participation in the PM SHRI scheme. They have also called for corrective measures to address perceived inadequacies in the general education sector as highlighted in the revised Budget.
The PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) scheme, launched by the Indian government, aims to strengthen and develop schools through various initiatives to improve educational outcomes. Critics argue that the scheme diverts attention and resources away from essential general education needs, particularly in underfunded areas.
The revised Budget has faced scrutiny for its allocation of funds, with advocates for general education claiming that it does not adequately address pressing issues such as infrastructure development, teacher training, and access to quality education for all students.
Stakeholders are urging a reevaluation of budget priorities to ensure that the general education sector receives sufficient support and resources, aiming for a more balanced approach to educational development in the State.
