Andhra Pradesh Introduces Digital Health Portal for Adolescents

The Minister for Health announced the launch of a new online educational portal designed to facilitate self-learning through a series of electronic modules. These modules cover a range of important topics, including personal hygiene, mental health, physical development, gender equality, HIV awareness, substance abuse prevention, road safety, nutrition, the cultivation of healthy relationships, and the safe use of the internet and social media.

This initiative aims to promote health literacy among the public, particularly targeting youth and vulnerable communities. By providing accessible information on these critical subjects, the portal seeks to empower individuals with knowledge that can enhance their overall well-being and decision-making. The modules are structured to be interactive and engaging, catering to different learning styles and preferences.

Furthermore, the portal is part of a broader government strategy to address public health challenges and improve socio-health outcomes across the population. Additional resources, including counseling services and community support, are expected to complement the online learning experience, fostering a comprehensive approach to health education.
