Andhra Pradesh Receives ₹3,352 Crore in CSR Funds Over Five Years, Reports Central Government

In the past five years, Andhra Pradesh has received a total of ₹3,352 crore in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds, according to a report released by the Central Government. This significant amount reflects the commitment of various corporate entities to contribute to social welfare initiatives and development projects in the state.

CSR funds are mandated for companies in India, as per the Companies Act of 2013, which requires firms with a net worth of ₹500 crore or more, or a turnover of ₹1,000 crore or more, to allocate at least 2% of their average net profits from the preceding three years towards corporate social responsibility activities. The funds can be utilized for a variety of purposes, including education, healthcare, sanitation, and rural development.
