Andhra Pradesh Transfers Senior Planners between APCRDA and VMRDA on Deputation
K. Divya Latha has been appointed as the Chief Urban Planner at the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) on a deputation basis. She previously held the position of Joint Director (Planning) at the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA).
Simultaneously, V. Shilpa, who was serving as the Chief Urban Planner at VMRDA, has been reassigned to APCRDA, taking on the role of Joint Director. This exchange of personnel between the two agencies aims to enhance urban planning and development efforts in the respective regions they serve.
Both APCRDA and VMRDA are key organizations involved in urban development in Andhra Pradesh. The APCRDA focuses on the development of the states new capital region, Amaravati, while VMRDA is responsible for planning and development in the Visakhapatnam metropolitan area. These personnel moves are part of a broader strategy to strengthen governance and expertise within the state’s urban planning initiatives.
