Assam Hospital Limits Free Diagnostic Services for Women with More Than Three Children

Assembly Speaker Ranjeet Kumar Dass, who also serves as the president of a First Referral Unit in Barpeta district, has recommended the implementation of a standardized healthcare system across all government healthcare facilities in the state. Dass conveyed his suggestions to State Health Minister Ashok Singhal, emphasizing the potential benefits of such a system in enhancing healthcare delivery and accessibility.

The First Referral Unit model aims to improve patient referral processes and ensure that individuals receive timely and appropriate medical care. If adopted statewide, this initiative could streamline services in rural and urban healthcare settings alike, potentially reducing patient overload in tertiary care hospitals and improving health outcomes for residents.

State Health Minister Ashok Singhal has expressed his willingness to explore these recommendations further, with the goal of improving the overall effectiveness of healthcare services in the state. The proposed changes come amid ongoing discussions about healthcare infrastructure and accessibility, particularly in remote areas that face significant medical service challenges.
