Assam Reaches Settlement with Hmar and Kuki Groups
A new agreement has been reached to establish welfare development councils for the Hmar and Kuki communities. Representatives from all four groups involved signed a Suspension of Operations pact and laid down their arms in 2012. Assams Minister announced that the cadres will be rehabilitated as part of this initiative.
