Bengaluru-Vijayawada Corridor NH-544G Project to Reduce Travel Distance by 110 km and Journey Time by Up to 4 Hours with ₹5,378 Crore Investment

A newly constructed corridor has been established, connecting National Highway 44 (NH-44) and National Highway 16 (NH-16). This corridor traverses through five districts and facilitates direct access to the industrial hubs of Hindupuram and Kopparthi.

The development of this corridor is expected to enhance transport efficiency within the region, promoting economic growth by improving logistics for businesses and industries located in these nodes. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the corridor will alleviate traffic congestion on existing routes, benefitting local communities and commuters. The initiative aligns with broader infrastructure development goals aimed at boosting industrial activity and encouraging investment in the area.

Local authorities are optimistic that this infrastructure enhancement will lead to job creation and overall economic development within the connected districts. Further details on the project timeline and budget allocation are yet to be disclosed by the responsible government agencies.
