Bengalurus 2026 GBA Budget: An Overview of Earnings and Expenditures Among New Corporations

On March 27 and 28, the municipal corporations of Bengaluru unveiled their budgets, which collectively amount to ₹20,217 crore for the upcoming fiscal year. This budget reflects the city’s priorities in areas such as infrastructure development, waste management, and public health services.

The presented budgets included allocations for several key projects aimed at improving urban living conditions, addressing traffic congestion, and enhancing public transportation systems. Additionally, officials highlighted initiatives focusing on sustainable development and green spaces within the city.

Bengaluru, known as India’s technology hub, continues to see rapid population growth, which adds urgency to the need for strategic investment in basic services and infrastructure. The budgets will be reviewed and debated in upcoming council meetings before the final approval is set to be discussed.
