Cabinet Approves Three Major Initiatives: Rabi MSP Increase, Rs 1.86 Lakh Crore Green Corridor, and Delhi AI Traffic System

The Union Cabinet has approved an expansion of Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for Rabi crops, a decision aimed at promoting agricultural development and improving the income stability for farmers nationwide. This initiative seeks to ensure that farmers receive a fair price for their produce, thus encouraging increased cultivation and investment in the agricultural sector.

In a further move to enhance the country’s renewable energy landscape, the Cabinet has also allocated additional funding for the Green Energy Corridor-III scheme. This initiative is designed to bolster the transmission infrastructure for renewable energy across different states, facilitating the integration of clean energy sources like solar and wind into the national grid, ultimately supporting India’s commitment to sustainable development and reducing carbon emissions.

Moreover, to tackle the ongoing challenges of urban traffic congestion, the Delhi government is set to implement an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS). This system will utilize real-time data analytics to monitor and manage traffic flow, aiming to improve road safety, reduce travel times, and minimize vehicle emissions. The ITMS leverages advanced technologies including sensors and cameras to provide traffic updates and optimize signal timings, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of transportation in the capital.
