CBSE Releases Updated Class 12 Results for Vedant Srivastava; Physics Marks Remain Unaltered Following Answer Sheet Error

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a revised result for Class 12 student Vedant Srivastava following a mix-up with his answer sheet. After re-evaluation, his marks for Physics remained unchanged at 74, although his original score had increased from 65 upon receiving the correct answer script. Additionally, minor improvements of two marks each were noted in his Maths and Computer Science scores.

This incident raises questions regarding the accuracy and transparency of the recently implemented On-Screen Marking system, which aims to streamline the evaluation process for student assessments. Concerns have been voiced by stakeholders, including students and educators, regarding the potential for errors in marking and the reliability of results since this systems introduction. The CBSE continues to address these challenges to ensure fairness in the evaluation and grading process.
