Census 2027: Kozhikode Reports Over 74,000 Self-Enumeration Submissions

The self-enumeration phase for Keralas upcoming census concluded on June 30, 2026. Following this phase, field enumeration is set to commence, contingent upon the completion of boundary mapping and house numbering initiatives. During the field enumeration process, trained enumerators will verify the data submitted by residents through the self-enumeration system.

The self-enumeration approach allows residents to provide personal information directly, enhancing the accuracy of demographic data collected for planning and development purposes. Following the verification process involving enumerators, the data will be compiled to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the states population demographics.

It is important to note that the census is a critical tool for governmental and non-governmental organizations to assess and address the needs of communities effectively. The overarching goal is to facilitate strategic planning, resource allocation, and implementation of various policies aimed at development across Kerala.
