Central University of Rajasthan Introduces Research Promotion Initiative for Scholars
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced a new scheme aimed at providing enhanced financial support to research scholars. Under this initiative, eligible scholars will receive an additional stipend of ₹5,000 per month, supplementing the existing non-NET fellowship already provided by the UGC.
Additionally, the program includes a contingency grant of ₹10,000, which is intended to cover various research-related expenses. The UGC hopes that this financial assistance will facilitate smoother research processes and relieve some of the financial burdens faced by scholars as they pursue their academic goals.
This initiative comes amidst a broader push by the UGC to strengthen the research ecosystem in India and encourage more students to engage in high-quality research across various disciplines. Further details regarding eligibility criteria and application procedures are expected to be released shortly.
