Centre Announces DIKSHA as Indias Unified Digital Platform for School Education

India has introduced a unified digital framework for its school education system called DIKSHA, which stands for “One Nation, One Digital Platform.” This initiative, launched in 2017 by the Ministry of Education, aims to provide a cohesive platform for educational resources that align with various curriculums from foundational levels through to senior secondary education.

DIKSHA offers a range of curriculum-linked materials that are accessible to students and educators across all states and Union Territories. The platform is designed to support a variety of learning needs, featuring interactive content, QR-coded textbooks for easy access to supplementary resources, and tools specifically developed for differently-abled students.

Furthermore, DIKSHA facilitates continuous learning and personalized educational growth, which is especially pertinent in the context of increased online learning demands following the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative is part of a broader effort by the Indian government to enhance the quality of education and make learning resources more accessible across the country.

As of now, DIKSHA has reportedly reached millions of students and teachers, fostering an inclusive educational environment that encourages engagement and innovative teaching methods.
