CJI Receives Letter from INDIA Bloc Addressing Concerns Over EC Conduct, Signed by DMK and AAP
A coalition of 23 political parties, including the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), has signed a letter expressing their commitment to the oppositions unity. Notably, both AAP and DMK were absent from the previous INDIA bloc meeting held on June 8 in Delhi. Jairam Ramesh, a senior leader of the Congress party, stated that “Opposition parties are firmly anchored,” indicating a strong resolve among the group to collaborate effectively in future political endeavors.
This development comes at a critical time as several opposition parties work toward presenting a united front in the lead-up to upcoming elections in India. The INDIA bloc, formed in 2022, aims to challenge the ruling government by consolidating their efforts and resources. The absence of certain parties from previous meetings highlights ongoing discussions about strategy and inclusion within the coalition, as leaders seek to enhance coordination and address key issues affecting voters.
