CM Vijay launches Thai Maman Gold Ring scheme in Madurai and inaugurates renovated Gandhi Museum.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the ‘Thai Maman’ Gold Ring Scheme in Madurai, a program designed to provide gold rings to newborn girls as a means of promoting savings and financial security for families. The initiative aims to empower parents and encourage them to save for their daughters’ futures, addressing financial disparities and enhancing social equity.
During his visit, CM Stalin also inaugurated the renovated Gandhi Museum, which has been upgraded to provide a more comprehensive look at Mahatma Gandhis life and contributions to Indias independence movement. The museum features new exhibits, multimedia presentations, and interactive displays intended to engage visitors and educate them about Gandhis philosophy and impact.
The launch of the Thai Maman scheme and the museum renovations are part of the state governments broader efforts to strengthen social welfare programs and cultural initiatives in Tamil Nadu. This initiative reflects the governments commitment to womens empowerment and education, while the Gandhi Museum renovation illustrates an investment in preserving and promoting historical heritage in the region.
